A trio of Woodburn defenders work to take down a Dallas ball carrier during the first quarter of the Bulldogs 55-10 loss to the visiting Dragons Friday night. Dallas took a 21-0 lead in the first quarter before Woodburn kicker Dago Diez booted a 41-yard field goal in the second quarter to put the Bulldogs on the board.
Conan Baus led a balanced Woodburn offensive, leading the Bulldogs with 128 rushing yards on 19 carries, but the Bulldogs were unable to convert their gains into a trip to the end zone until the final quarter of the game when Camilo Guizar connected with Angel Carrasquillo for a touchdown pass to bring the Bulldogs within 48-10.
Carrasquillo finished the game with three receptions for 66 yards, while Guizar completed six of 12 passes for 106 yards.
Woodburn (0-6, 0-4 Mid-Willamette) faces a difficult opponent on the road next week when the Bulldogs travel to Silverton to take on the No. 6-ranked Foxes (5-1, 3-1).
