Rodolfo Hernandez recently ran a wrestling camp at Woodburn High School for his senior project at WeBSS. The wrestling room was packed for four days with 50 kids excited to be on the mat.
Hernandez and his fellow Bulldogs helped these kids develop basic take-down techniques. The energy was contagious. After playing Sharks and Minnows during the first practice, a young boy stepped off the mat and yelled, This is awesome!
The camp was also a great learning experience for Hernandez, who is team captain for the Bulldogs and placed fourth in the 5A State Tournament last season.
Ive had parents tell me how glad and happy I decided to do this camp because their kids were having lots of fun, Hernandez said. After every day ended the kids didnt want to leave, but were excited to come back the next day!
