Senior meals available weekdays at First Presbyterian Church

The Northwest Senior and Disability Services provides meals at the First Presbyterian Church, 950 Boones Ferry Road in Woodburn, at noon Mondays through Fridays. There is no charge for individuals 60 and over but a $3 donation is suggested. Home-delivered meals are also available for home-bound seniors. For reservations, which are required two days in advance, call Beth Balaban at 503-981-3470 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Wednesday, Oct. 23 Lima beans and ham; three cheese lasagna; whole kernel corn, garden vegetable salad, French roll, vanilla pudding.
Thursday, Oct. 24 Chicken chow mein with rice or Bavarian beef stew; steamed carrots, spinach romaine salad with ranch dressing, seven grain roll, peaches.
Friday, Oct. 25 Roast turkey with gravy or country fried steak with gravy; whipped potatoes with gravy, green peas, bran oat bread, frosted marble cake.
Monday, Oct. 28 Chicken patty sandwich with bun or sloppy Joe with bun; whole kernel corn, four bean salad, golden fruit cup.
Tuesday, Oct. 29 Southern chicken and rice or macaroni and cheese; country trio vegetables, tossed salad, garlic bread, pumpkin bar.
Wednesday, Oct. 30 Chicken pomodoro or beef shepherds pie; Capri blend vegetables, tossed salad, garlic bread, pumpkin bar.
Thursday, Oct. 31 Orange glazed chicken or liver and onions; whipped potatoes with gravy, broccoli cuts, squash bread, red devil beet cake.
