Jacqueline Jackie Jane Blalock of Woodburn, died at the age 79 on Oct. 28, 2013.
Jackie was born Feb. 6, 1934 in Portland to Al and Phyllis Mae (Goldthrite) Bradley.
She married John Blalock in Portland on June 18, 1960. Jackie received her masters degree in education at Marylhurst College. Jackie taught seventh grade at St. Luke Catholic School, served as vice principal at Woodburn Middle School, was a principal at Nellie Muir Elementary School and retired as principal at Washington Elementary School a total of 35 years with Woodburn School District.
Jackie was involved with Kiwanis and was a Woodburn Fire District board member for 14 years. She played the organ at St. Luke Catholic Church where she was a long-time member.
Jackie is survived by her husband John and son Michael, both of Woodburn; brother
George Bradly of Bellevue, Wash.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Marsh, of Salem, Dana Spackman and Amanda Peterson, both of Utah; and two great-grandchildren, Addison Marsh and Jaydon Gelner.
Jackie was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Spackman.
Funeral mass is Oct. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Woodburn. Rite of Committal followed at St. Luke Catholic Cemetery. Family would like to thank Jackies caregiver Joanie for all her care and support for Jackie.
