Association Building survey slated for December release

A consultant’s report on the future of Woodburn’s Association Building downtown, which was expected for release in October, will be completed by December, according to Jim Hendryx, economic and development services director for the city.

Portland-based Constructive Form Architecture & Design LLC is creating the report, which includes survey responses from downtown businesses and community leaders.

The report, which will lay out three or four options for the future use of the city-owned building, should be released at the Dec. 9 city council meeting, Hendryx said.

The building is considered a key component of Woodburn downtown renewal plans.

Potentially, the city could invest money from its urban renewal program or sell it, according to Hendryx.
