January opening planned for Flying J in Aurora

A new Flying J truck stop is slated for Aurora Exit 278 off Interstate 5 by the end of January.
The truck stop and travel center will include a gas station, Subway restaurant, shower space and a large truck drivers lounge, said Irshad Suri, Brooks store director for Knoxville, Tenn.-based Pilot Flying J LLC, who is in charge of training and outreach for the new store in Aurora.
Pilot Flying J has approximately 550 interstate travel centers and travel plazas around the country and is a draw for trucking companies, professional drivers, RV drivers and traveling motorists, according to its website, www.pilotflyingj.com.
The Aurora store will include 5,700 feet for retail plus addition space for showers, a lounge and parking, Suri said. It will feature a new store concept called PJ Fresh, which including more healthy offerings such as oatmeal and a more open setup, Suri said.
