Willamette Valley Music Together is accepting registrations for its winter semester of music classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and their parents and/or other caregivers.
Classes will be offered at Frog Pond Church in Wilsonville and Hubbard Chapel in Hubbard, beginning the week of Jan. 7.
Interested families are invited to attend an open house at Innovative Dance in Wilsonville on Dec. 3 at 10 a.m., or at Hubbard Chapel Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.
There will be a free demonstration class and a parent-child music and movement program developed by the Center for Music and Young Children will be held.
Director Wendy Reznicsek has been in business three months and completed her training to become a Music Together teacher in June.
Facilitating a musical experience for children and their caregivers is especially rewarding, she said. The weekly group classes allow parents and other caregivers (grandparents, nannies) to bond with the children on many levels while encouraging the musical development that is innate in all children.
She went on to explain that music exposure in the early developmental years help people to grasp a deeper love and appreciation for music later on in life.
Music Together classes are specifically designed so that children can learn through playing.
Each week we sing, chant, dance, jam with age appropriate instruments, and experience the joys of making music together,?Reznicsek said.
