by: WOODBURN INDEPENDENT ARCHIVES - North Marion senior Brennan Patterson returns to the Huskies a year after winning a regional title and finishing sixth in the 285-pound division of the 4A state championships.Coach: Jared Wilson (first year)

Last year: Won a team district title with five individual champions; qualified 19 wrestlers for the regional tournament and earned seven bids to the state meet, where it placed 10th overall

Key athletes: Brennan Patterson, Tyler Saucedo, Adam Vega

Key losses: Lucas Randall, Keltin Boykin, Orion Walters, Zac Sisson

Outlook: Even without four-time state champion Lucas Randall, North Marion appears to have the talent to contend for district titles and state bids. Ford Stigall – last year’s District Coach of the Year – will take a role as an assistant this season, as new head coach Jared Wilson has taken the helm.
