Police investigating Thursday-night shooting in Humboldt neighborhood

Police investigators are seeking the public's help in identifying the people responsible for a Thursday-night shooting incident that occurred in the Humboldt neighborhood of Portland.
North precinct and Gang Enforcement Team officers responded to a report of multiple gunshots being fired in the area of North Mississippi Avenue and Blandena Street on Dec. 19, shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, Portland Police Officers located a house in the 4500 block of North Mississippi Avenue that appeared to have been struck by gunfire multiple times.
Witnesses described hearing gunfire and seeing two African American males run away westbound on North Blandena Avenue.
Gang Enforcement Team officers know the house that was struck by gunfire as the residence of a known gang associate.
No victims have been located and Gang Enforcement Team officers are leading the investigation.
The Portland Police Bureau Gang Enforcement Team and Gun Task Force are continuing to actively investigate gang and gun crimes in the City of Portland. Anyone with information about gang and/or illegal gun crimes in the City of Portland is encouraged to provide information to the Portland Police Bureau.
