The Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance is being staged Sunday, July 20 and organizers say this year’s 326 entries include some particularly stunning vehicles.

Topping that list is a 1938 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 Touring Berlinetta, which epitomizes the theme of this year’s show: “The Art of Italian Motoring.”

Entered by Jon Shirley of Medina Washington, the Berlinetta won Best of Show and received the Elegance in Motion Trophy at the 2008 Pebble Beach Concours.

The Forest Grove Concours d’Elegance also celebrates 50 Years of the Ford Mustang and Pontiac GTO with special displays. A 1965 Ford Mustang convertible displayed by the LeMay car museum in Tacoma will be the centerpiece of the Mustang feature class.

The event, one of the premier classic car shows on the West Coast, is held on Pacific University’s shaded Forest Grove campus. Tickets range from $20 to $5. Gates open at 8:30 a.m. For more information visit forestgroveconcours.org or call 1-888-359-2530. Follow the event on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/forestgroveconcours.
