Police seek help in Scholls Ferry Road stabbing

A Beaverton man is in the hospital after he was stabbed several times in the back late Tuesday night.
Beaverton Police were called to the 10300 block of Scholls Ferry Road at about 10:51 p.m., Tuesday to reports of a stabing.
According to police Antonio Ruiz, 22, was assaulted and stabbed in the entryway to his home a block away in the 10200 block of Southwest Conestoga Drive. A witness tried to take Ruiz to the hospital but said that his condition worsened as they drove onto Scholls Ferry Road and the witness called 911. Ruiz was transported to Oregon Health & Science University hospital in critical condition.
Police said its unclear what lead to the stabbing and no suspects have been identified. Detectives are asking for the public's assistance in identifying any suspicious people or vehicles which were in the area of Southwest Conestoga Drive in the late hours of Tuesday, July 22.
