Biggest Loser returns to Portland for heavyweight fun
- Portland Tribune - Features
Apparently, there are a lot of potential losers in the Portland area.
The popular television show 'Biggest Loser' will host another casting call here.
The show, which follows heavyset people as they go through drill-camp variety living to lose weight, had 3,000 people show up for the auditions in the Portland area last year. The show features trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper and host Alison Sweeney.
Producers of the show want to get the word out about the 11th season. A team of casting directors, including Barbara Wulff, will be in Portland for the July 17 auditions.
'We are looking for positive people who need to lose a substantial amount of weight,' Wulff says. 'These are the people who are in danger of many major health risks.'
The show usually pairs individuals, such as family members, together - parent/child, siblings, a married couple and individuals. They're looking for people who have 100 or more pounds to lose.
The casting call will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at the Rose Garden. Aspiring contestants are asked to bring a non-returnable photo of themselves.
The winner of the 11th season of 'Biggest Loser' will be awarded $250,000.
