BodyVox embraces the frightful fun of the dance company's favorite holiday with “BloodyVox,” opening Oct. 21.

'BloodyVox'

It's a Halloween-themed world premiere that will feature vampires, spiders, blood and the newest dancers with BodyVox. The BloodyVox Ball caps performances, with proceeds going to BodyVox's education and outreach programs (7:30 p.m. Oct. 30, tickets $25-$125).

'Hansel and Gretel'

Portland Opera presents Humperdinck's frighteningly delicious feast for children of all ages, possessing underlying themes of hunger and abuse in the story of the two young people lost in the woods.

Turkish Star Wars

Filmusik kicks off its late-night series with 'Dunyayi Kurtaran Adam,' the legendary Turkish take on the American blockbuster movie. It's dubbed in English with a live score and sound effects. In all, 22 performers turn the Hollywood Theatre into a movie sound stage.

Trailer Park Boys
