MULTNOMAH - March 15 at approximately 9:12 p.m., Portland Police officers responded to an adult health and rehab center in the 5700 block of Southwest Multnomah Boulevard on the report of a missing 91-year-old man. Officers arrived and learned that the man, Wilfred "Bill" Ross, was last seen at approximately 8 p.m.
Staff began looking for him and called police. Staff searched the facility while additional officers began arriving in the area to search the neighborhood. Officers searching the area contacted both TriMet and several taxi companies in an attempt to check for possible contact with Ross.
At approximately 10:51 p.m., an officer found Bill Ross deceased at the bottom of a ravine in a creek near the 5300 block of Southwest Multnomah Boulevard.
The Oregon State medical examiner determined that Ross drowned in the creek.
There will be no further investigation.
