OC tanker places at state

GRESHAM - Katie Robertson of Oregon City did herself proud at the recent Class 6A State High School Swimming Championships, placing in the top four in two events.

Robertson, a junior, earned runner-up honors in the girls 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.16) and she placed fourth in the 200-individual medley (2:09.44). She finished just back of Lakeridge senior Amy Wiley (1:04.18) in the breaststroke.

Clackamas freshman Shannelle Cayetano placed ninth in the 100-freestyle (55.97).

Robertson was Three Rivers League district champion in the individual medley (2:10.89); Cayetano was district champion in the freestyle (56.41).

La Salle Prep had an athlete and a relay team place at the Class 4A/3A/2A/1A State Championships.

La Salle junior Alexa Bryant-Capellas placed third in the 100-backstroke (1:04.90), and the 200-freestyle relay team of Bryant-Capellas, junior Becca Baggs and sophomores Haley Yohn and Erin Flagg earned fifth place (1:51.26).
