Washington State University

Janine Jeanette Shockley of Gresham received a bachelor's degree in human development from Washington State University in Pullman, Wash.

Whitworth University

Elizabeth Brink of Fairview and Amy Evans of Troutdale were named to the Laureate Society at Whitworth University in Spokane, Wash., for fall semester 2010. The students qualified for the academic honors society by maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.75 during the semester.

George Fox University

The following local students graduated from George Fox University in Newberg in December 2010.

Gresham: Lisa Anderson, bachelor's degree in general biology; and Jena Wylie, bachelor's degree in management and organizational leadership.

Troutdale: Caroline Dunn, master's degree in business administration.

Gonzaga University

Sara K. Davis of Boring was named to the dean's list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., for the fall semester 2010.

Students must earn a 3.70 to 4.0 grade-point average to be on the president's list and a 3.5 to 3.69 grade-point average to be on the dean's list.

Western Governors University

Ida West of East Portland graduated from Western Governors University, an online university, with her bachelor's degree in accounting.

The university held a commencement ceremony on Feb. 12 in Salt Lake City.
