Former Adams press aide takes job with green PR firm
Roy Kaufmann leaves Office of Emergency Management for EnviroMedia
Roy Kaufmann, who left his post as Mayor Sam Adams' communications director a couple weeks ago to be spokesman for the Portland Office of Emergency Management, has abruptly left that post and taken another new job, to work for the EnviroMedia public relations firm.
Kaufmann will be the firm's managing director for Portland.
The announcement was made Monday in an EnviroMedia press release.
EnviroMedia describes itself as one of the region's leading advertising and public relations firms focused on social change.
Among other things, the company said it partnered with the University of Oregon in 2007 to developing the Greenwashing Index, a website to authenticate green marketing claims.
