Three line up for School Board race
One seat on the Sherwood School Board is being challenged in the May election.
Scott Haynes, an outside sales account manager for Empire Batteries, is challenging current Sherwood School Board member Kevin Noreen for the Position 1 slot.
Noreen has served on the board since 2003.
Haynes is a Sherwood High School graduate who is working on a political science degree at Portland State University. Noreen has a bachelor's degree from Lewis and Clark College and holds a juris doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law. He is a development review supervisor for the Clackamas County Department of Transportation and Development.
Meanwhile, Sue Hekker, who has served on the board since 2007, is unchallenged for the Position 5 seat. Hekker is a sales representative for Procter and Gamble.
Both seats expire June 30.
