Tall ships sailing to St. Helens

Two tall sailing ships will arrive in St. Helens on April 20, the Historical Society of Columbia County announced this week.
The ships, Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain, of Cathlamet, Wash., will be available for events and tours April 21 through April 24. One-way passage from Cathlamet to St. Helens (an 11-hour ride) or St. Helens to Vancouver, Wash. (a 4-hour ride) can be purchased at www.historicalseaport.org.
In addition, the historical society announced that the second annual 'Henry Knighton Days - Living History, 1850' festival will take place June 3 - 5. Planning for the event is ongoing.
