Plaid Pantry company, police offer reward for early morning robber

Same man could be responsible for eight robberies across the region in the past month

Plaid Pantry Inc. of Beaverton is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man who has robbed several of the convenience stores in the Portland area.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a $1,000 reward in the same case.

Portland police robbery detectives believe the same person is responsible for eight store robberies in the past month. In each case, the man entered and left the stores on foot, and in some cases he implied he had a weapon.

The suspect is described as a clean-cut white man in his 30s, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, with a medium build, short brown hair and a tattoo of in the web of his right hand.

Police say the man may have been involved in these robberies:

• On Tuesday, March 1, at about 12:19 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 6630 N.E. Glisan St. and demanded money.

• On Friday, March 4, at about 1:39 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 6010 N.E. Halsey St. and demanded money.

• On Sunday March 6, at about 12:33 a.m., the suspect walked in to the Plaid Pantry store at 6010 N.E. Halsey St., but fled because the employee recognized him from the March 4 robbery.

• On Sunday, March 6, at about 3:03 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 16226 S.E. Division St. and demanded money.

• On Sunday, March 6, at about 6:23 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 11705 S.W. Pacific Highway in Tigard and demanded money.

• On Tuesday, March 15, at about 3:29 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 10255 N.E. Glisan St. and demanded money.

• On Wednesday, March 23, at about 12:56 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 6630 N.E. Glisan St. and demanded money.

• On March 23, at about 4:25 a.m., the suspect walked into the Plaid Pantry store at 7545 S.W. Oleson Road in the Garden Home area and demanded money.
