Police log - March 31, 2011

Authorities recently filed reports on the following incidents.
3/19 4:37 p.m.; A reportedly stolen white Nissan Altima was found in Portland. The suspected thief is an ex-girlfriend.
3/20 9:20 a.m.; A woman's purse was stolen from her unlocked car on Rogue Way. Her credit cards were used.
3/20 4:41 p.m.; Three cars on Ponderosa Loop were broken into during the night. Change, a docking port for an iPod, clothing and miscellaneous items were stolen.
3/18 2:01 p.m.; A non-injury two-car accident occurred at McKillican Street and Willamette Drive.
3/22 7:15 pm.; A hit-and-run, non-injury accident occurred in the 5000 block of Linn Lane.
LIFE IN WEST LINN
3/18 10:59 a.m.; A man feared that subjects going through the Michael Court neighborhood were checking for locked doors. Officers determined they were passing out business cards.
3/18 11:46 a.m.; A young man reported a dispute with his 16-year-old brother. The boys' mother was contacted at work.
3/18 12:51 p.m.; An ex-girlfriend was taking items that did not belong to her from a residence on Tannler Drive.
3/18 3:25 p.m.; An alert was sent from the Gresham Police Department to locate Sam Casey Jones. Apparently, the 21-year-old Iraq veteran has PTSD and threatened to kill his wife with a handgun. He is angry with police for killing his friend in Vancouver and has made at least 50 threats to kill police officers if contacted.
3/18 6:54 p.m.; Four 10- to 15-year-old boys were throwing rocks and things at houses in the 2900 block of Winkel Way.
3/18 8:31 p.m.; A woman was getting messages from her boyfriend saying he'd 'like to talk.' She requested officers escort her from her house to the house of a friend.
3/19 7:48 a.m.; Two 40-year-old men were tampering with a lighted bridge closure sign on I-205 at 10th Street.
3/19 11:13 a.m.; A grandmother asked police to check on her granddaughter who spent the night with her father - with her mother's permission. It seems the girl was upset when her mother didn't call her.
3/19 1:50 p.m.; A wallet with a 49er logo was found at Rosemont Ridge Middle School.
3/19 2:28 p.m.; A suspicious man in his early 20s was selling meat from his van in the Lewis and Perrin street neighborhood. The reporter feared the meat seller was looking in people's garages.
3/19 4:13 p.m.; A hitchhiker holding an I-84 sign on I-205 and 10th Street was yelling at motorists and flipping them off. Officers contacted the subject who then rode his bicycle to Oregon City.
3/19 8:12 p.m.; Possible gunshots were heard in the Walling Circle area.
3/19 11:03 p.m.; A man was receiving harassing calls from his neighbor in the 1600 block of Village Park Place.
3/19 11:50 p.m.; A panhandler was reported at McDonald's.
3/20 11:07 a.m.; The glass on the video machine at the West Linn Saloon was broken during the night.
3/20 1:02 p.m.; A woman requested extra patrols to nab speeding vehicles in the Dollar Street area.
3/20 1:11 p.m.; WLPD assisted the medical team with a man who collapsed in his driveway.
3/20 8:03 p.m.; A suspicious video gamer at the Linn City Pub asked questions about the amount of money on hand and when the restaurant closed. When contacted, the subject said he had not asked those questions.
3/20 10 p.m.; Five juveniles in the parking lot on Eighth Avenue were suspected of smoking marijuana. Officers determined they were smoking cigars.
3/20 10:47 p.m.; A man reported three vehicles and 12 noisy subjects in the park on Parker Road. Officers found three subjects, and they were quiet when contacted.
3/21 4:40 a.m.; A backpack was found in the roadway at West Linn High School. Officers picked it up.
3/22 4:09 p.m.; Officers assisted with a death investigation at Tanner Spring Assisted Living. It turned out to be of natural causes.
3/23 12:37 p.m.; Three juveniles were inside a vacant farmhouse in the 4600 block of Summer Run Drive and then they entered a residence nearby. The kids were contacted and advised.
3/23 9:22 p.m.; A reporter was looking for his parents in the 2000 block of Dillow Drive. He asked officers to check several Starbucks nearby. The parents were located at a sister's house.
3/24 12:52 a.m.; A juvenile banged on the window of a residence on Wild Rose Loop and then ran away.
3/24 10:06 a.m.; Car keys, house keys and membership cards were found at Sunset Primary School.
3/24 11 a.m.; A juvenile was given options regarding harassing text messages.
3/24 12:10 p.m.; A parent called police for assistance with a daughter who came home with her five friends after curfew.
3/24 12:13 p.m.; A boy was taunted by older junior high kids at the skate park. The parents were called: one set of parents was cooperative and the other was not receptive. Officers will follow up with Rosemont Ridge Middle School.
3/24 2:40 p.m.; An officer was flagged down on a report of unsupervised children at Willamette Primary School. The officer spoke with the mother.
3/24 3 p.m.; A suicidal subject was reportedly en route to a gun shop in Milwaukie.
3/24 4:44 p.m.; A suspicious man in a green sweatshirt was seen leaving a neighbor's backyard in the 1800 block of Fifth Avenue.
3/18 11:51 a.m.; A dog in the back of a beige Ford was unrestrained and was 'flying around' in the bed of the truck. The truck was heading southbound on Highway 43.
3/20 4:38 p.m.; A pit bull on Lancaster Street continuously wandered into the neighbor's yard. The owner was advised.
