Two Riverdale candidates unopposed

Two candidates are running unopposed in the Riverdale School District.
Dean Garrett filed for Position 4, which was vacated by Sarah Bradley in December. Garrett was appointed to fill the remainder of her term, which ends on June 30. If he is elected, he will serve for another four years.
Garrett is the executive vice president of OSF International Inc.
He is studied accounting at Portland State University.
He also served five years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear electrician's mate.
Incumbent Kristen Kohnstamm is running for Position 2. She has served on the school board since 2006.
Kohnstamm is a Realtor for Dunthorpe Properties and has lived in Dunthorpe since 2000 when her family relocated from the East Coast.
She is a graduate of American University with a bachelor's degree in business and marketing. Before serving on the school board, she was treasurer and president of the Riverdale Parent Teacher Club.
The election is May 17, and ballots will be mailed out on April 29.
