Cinema 7 holding autism-friendly low-sensation screening

A special low-sensation screening for people with autism - the beginning of what could become a regular event in town - will take place this Saturday at Scappoose Cinema 7. Admission is $6 per person for the 'Sensory Saturday' showing, which lessens the normally loud sounds and brightnes the overly dark setting of a typical movie theater experience. There will be a break during the film. Children with special diets may bring their own snacks. The doors open at 9:30 a.m. The movie will be family-friendly and may change based on availability, so call the theater at 503-543-3537 to verify the title. April is National Autism Awareness Month.
