Season approaching

Snow will be falling and ski resorts opening in November, so make your plans now to attend the 30th Annual Portland SkiFever and Snowboard Show, Nov. 6-8 at the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Drive.

Admission will be $12 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12. The show runs from 1 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. There will be discounts products galore.

Speaking of ski and snowboard season, it's the best time to buy season passes.

Timberline and Mt. Hood Skibowl have joined forces to offer the Mount Hood Fusion Pass, which can be used on either hill. For an adult (ages 23-64), it's $449 purchased before Oct. 31, $475 when bought between Nov. 1 and 8 and $575 after Nov. 9. Timberline has new terrain open, Still Creek Basin, serviced by a new high-speed quad lift. Skibowl still boasts of having 34 lit runs every night of the week - the country's largest night ski/snowboard area.
