Sending gas to California doesn't make sense
I've been reading a lot about this proposed liquified natural gas pipeline that may run through rural Washington County and that a lot of people living there are strongly opposed to it.
Natural gas is a fossil fuel and will benefit those in southern California and not us here in Oregon. That causes me to oppose this project.
Another reason I oppose the project is that when we as a nation have to eventually fight global warming, the burning of natural gas will contribute to global warming.
Also, to me, this pipeline violates most or all of the provisions of Measure 49.
I hope some proponent of the pipeline reads this and takes all of the above into consideration.
