Improvements made at Rhododendron Gardens

by: Rita A. Leonard

Spring is a time of anticipation at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens, on S.E. 28th.

Blossoms begin to appear as volunteers clear paths and beds of winter debris, preparing for spring visitors.

At the east end of the low bridge, the new stone wall and bench at the wildlife viewing area have been completed (shown).

Beavers, mink and various waterfowl are busy with their spring activities, and visitors can enjoy the constant changes in this classic garden space, just west of Reed College on S.E. 28th.
