Lady Rangers spiral down

The Lady Rangers' troubles shooting the basketball were highlighted in the final 10 seconds against Molalla on Friday night when senior Jennifer Hager missed all four of her free throws.

The Lady Rangers, as a team, were 0-for-8 from the line in the 54-26 loss.

An eight-game losing streak has landed Estacada's girls at the bottom of the Capital Conference standings with an 0-6 league record.

Senior Shikara White led the Lady Rangers with seven points against the Molalla Indians. Junior Lacy Aregger added six to her team's score.

Molalla's Amanda Luna picked the Lady Rangers apart with three three-pointers and shot 4-for-4 from the foul line to lead her team with 23 points. Erica Filpetti added 16.

Tillamook beat Estacada 43-25 last Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Kaitlyn Christensen led the Estacada girls with 11 points. She had a good night with three three-pointers and made 2-of-2 from the foul line.

The girls will host Stayton at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are 1-4 in the Capital Conference.
