Cathern Lorene Richeson
Cathern Lorene Richeson died Feb. 7, 2008, from multiple myeloma. She was 80.
She was born Nov. 5, 1927 in Portland to Albert A. Church and Ida May Razer. She married Albert Eugene Richeson on April 9, 1950.
She worked for many years at Fred Meyer, and then in 1991 she went to work for the Lake Oswego School District. For 14 years she was a cook and server in the cafeteria at Lakeridge High School and retired in 2005 at the age of 77.
Mrs. Richeson is survived by her son Kevin Eugene Richeson and his wife Kellee Jamieson of Beaverton; her son Leland Jay Richeson and his wife Julie of Dayton, Ore.; her son Douglas Scott Richeson of West Linn; her daughter Laura Tressa Richeson of Portland; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband Albert Eugene Richeson died in l987.
Services were held Sunday, Feb. 10. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Larry J. Flynn
Larry John Flynn died Feb. 4, 2008, of cancer. He was 62.
He was born March 23, 1945, in Ventura, Calif. He was raised in Lakeview, graduating in 1963 from Lakeview High school.
He attended Oregon State University and graduated from Southern Oregon State University in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy until 1972 and settled with his first wife, the former Dianne Roberts, in Ashland.
The couple had a son, Brandon. The family moved to Lake Oswego in 1981 and eventually settled in West Linn. The marriage ended in divorce.
Mr. Flynn later married Estee Moxely.
During his professional career, Mr. Flynn worked as a securities broker and financial planner. His son Brandon worked with him at LENSCO private ledger.
Survivors include his wife Estee Flynn, son Brandon Flynn, father Millis Flynn, sister Marcie Kiernan and brother Layne Flynn.
A celebration of life was held Feb. 9 at Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland.
Margaret Hoefle Dennis of cancer on Feb. 6, 2008. She was 87.
She was born Sept. 20, 1920 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She married Dale Dennis in l941. She dedicated her life to her role as a homemaker and mother of five children. She and her family lived in Willamette and Lake Oswego.
Survivors include her sons Michael, Gary, Brian and Todd; her daughter Susan Rufener; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband of 66 years, Dale Dennis, died in 2007.
Funeral services will be held on Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Stafford Baptist Church, 23215 S.W. Newland Road, Wilsonville. Remembrances may be sent to Stafford Baptist Church Deacon's Fund.
Shaun Michael Elam
Died Feb. 7, 2008. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at the First Unitarian Church in Portland, 1011 S.W. 12th Ave.
