Wanda Louise Howard
Wanda Louise Howard of Lake Oswego died on Feb. 15, 2008. She was 78.
She was born in Meridian, Idaho on June 8, 1929. She married Roy Michael Howard, Sr. in 1949, and the couple started their family together and moved to Lake Oswego in l964.
She worked as a secretary for Hervin Company and then Blackwell Publishing until retiring in l995. She served on the board of directors for the Lakewood Association and was a long-time member of the Delta Sigma Chi philanthropic group.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Roy Michael Howard, Sr.; her son, Roy Michael Howard, Jr. and his wife, Shelley, of Beaverton; her daughter, Sue Adelhart and her husband, Dave, of Oregon City; her sister, Karen Raynor; and three grandchildren.
A reception will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Oswego Heritage House, 398 10th St., Lake Oswego.

Christopher Lance Winfrey-Ray died Feb. 18, 2008 of cerebral palsey. He was 7.
Christopher was born Nov. 16, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Misty Winfrey and Steven Ray. The family moved to Mulino, Ore., in 2001 and to West Linn in 2007. He attended Lake Grove Elementary School. He loved animals.
Survivors include his parents, grandparents Jim and JoAnne Winfrey, step-grandmother Charlotte Winfrey and great-grandmother Ethel Winfrey.
Remembrances may be sent to Shriners Hospital for Children.
A private service will be held.
Chester Alan Dorman died Feb. 25, 2008, of natural causes. He was 82.
Mr. Dorman was born June 16, 1925 in San Diego, Calif., and was raised in that city. He graduated from the University of Southern California and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Sterling Loftin in 1947 and the couple moved to Lake Oswego in 2003. He spent his professional career as the owner and operator of a retail tire business.
Survivors include his wife Sterling of Lake Oswego, sons David Dorman of Portland and John Dorman of Santa Monica, Calif.; daughters Anne Dorman of San Francisco, Calif. and Mary Dorman of Portland; and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 29, at 3 p.m. at the Convent of the Holy Names Chapel in Lake Oswego.

Helen Burns Kelly of Lake Oswego died of ovarian cancer on Feb. 21, 2008. She was 75.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 20, 1932 to Robert and Blanche Burns. She was raised in Salt Lake City and earned a BA degree at the University of Utah in l953.
She married Charles A. 'Chuck' Kelly, Jr. in l954 in Salt Lake City. They lived in Southern California from 1969 to 1980, when they moved to Lake Oswego.
Mrs. Kelly was an avid gardener and operated 'Especially for You', a floral design business for many years. She was an active member of Christ Church Episcopal Parish in Lake Oswego, where she served on the Vestry and Altar Guild.
Survivors include her son Tod Kelly and his wife Nicole Steckler of Portland; her daughter Catherine Kelly and her husband Rich Hamerla of Norman, Okla.; her sister Beverly Love of Salt Lake City; and two grandchildren. Her husband, Chuck Kelly, died in 2004.
Services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Episcopal Parish, 1060 Chandler Road. Remembrances may be made to Christ Church or Heifer International at www.heifer.org .
