O'Gallagher leads Knights into NAIA playoffs

COLLEGE CORNER -- Jenni Stratton wins Big-12 swimming title

Gresham graduate Scott O'Gallagher scored a team-high 31 points, going 5 for 5 from 3-point range, to lead the Knights' past Evergreen 87-69 in the championship game of the Cascade Conference tournament Tuesday, March 4.

With the win Warner Pacific (22-10) gained a berth in the NAIA national tournament and will face No. 9 Bethel (27-6) in a first-round game Wednesday, March 12.

In other college action, David Douglas graduate Jenni Stratton scored 53 team points to help the Aggies defend their Big-12 Conference title, beating host Texas by 219 points. Stratton passed two swimmers on the final lap to win the 500-yard freestyle in 4:42.79. She also took second in the 1,650 freestyle and third in the 400 medley.
