Fowler students bring Oz to life

The yellow brick road really came to life as an outstanding cast of Fowler middle-schoolers performed L. Frank Baum's 'Wizard of Oz' this past weekend. The sets and special effects were terrific, only to be outdone by the costumes, and of course the terrific acting and singing by 65 splendid young thespians (along with a top notch tech crew).

A great play with great music, great dancing, and an even greater story line generated full houses all weekend long. So, look out, Tigard High, these academy-award potential kids will be at your doorstep in no time, ready to perform for us all as Tigard Tigers.

I, for one, can hardly wait. What fun it will be!

There is another presidential candidate

According to the media, there are only three candidates left running for president. Oh, and we cannot forget Ralph Nader, although his campaign is barely 1 week old, and yet he has had more media coverage than Ron Paul has ever had.

The only hope Paul has lies in those of us who have searched the Web on our own. How else could anyone be informed?

Paul is constantly edited from televised debates, downgraded by media and not included in 98 percent of all media coverage I have ever seen about the presidential race.

Ron Paul has won straw polls and caucuses nationwide - why is this information not front-page material? Isn't it strange that the only strict constitutionalist supporter of a smaller federal government and civil liberties is rarely if ever recognized in the news?

If you're interested in Dr. Ron Paul, Google him, and support this revolution.
