Their point total, currently at 21, will be a franchise low. Portland's worst all-time record was 17-53-2 (36 points) in 1990-91, and the Hawks had 37 points last season.
The Hawks won't set the Western Hockey League's all-time worst mark. The worst records (with point totals) for full-season teams: Winnipeg Warriors, 1983-84, 9-63 (18); Victoria, 1989-90, 5-65-2 (12).
