Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:
3/01/08 8:03 a.m. At Greenridge Estates, a caller reported being assaulted by two residents. Police determined there were no injuries and no crime.
2/26/08 4:55 p.m. Greg M. Parduhn, 42, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Fosberg Road.
2/29/08 4:38 p.m. Sharon Ann Ulrich, 43, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on 10th Street.
3/02/08 1:14 a.m. Timothy D. Speakman, 42, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Iron Mountain Boulevard. That charge was later dismissed.
2/26/08 12:10 p.m. At Bay Roc Apartments, a caller said he thought some furniture had been stolen. He later called to say that the furniture had turned up.
2/26/08 2:28 p.m. At a residence on Pilkington Road, a Japanese maple was stolen from a backyard.
2/28/08 2:14 p.m. A CD player and a DVD player were stolen from a car on Juarez.
3/01/08 12:54 p.m. A man with white hair and a moustache, in his 60s, took $60 from a woman's bag while she was running. She confronted him and he drove off.
3/01/08 9:46 a.m. On Crest Drive, a Bianci Boardwalk bicycle was stolen sometime in the prior two weeks.
2/29/08 2:06 p.m. There was a hit-and-run accident in a parking lot on Bangy Road.
2/29/08 2:24 p.m. At the Olive Garden on Meadows Road, a car was hit in the parking lot.
3/02/08 1:22 p.m. A woman reported that her gray Dodge Stratus was hit earlier that day.
2/25/08 7:37 a.m. At Rivergrove Elementary School, there was a report of graffitti saying 'Easy 4' on a classroom door.
2/25/08 1:41 p.m. A Tri-Met bus was broken down and partially blocking the roadway.
2/25/08 3:37 p.m. A car on Botticelli Street was keyed. The car owner said it seems to occur when he parks in a certain parking spot.
2/25/08 6:55 p.m. A caller reported that a man in his 30s, with light hair and a dark jacket came to the door and rang the bell. Though he was asked to leave, he kept ringing the bell.
2/25/08 9:29 p.m. A caller said he thought his roommate may have had a warrant out for his arrest.
2/26/08 9:42 p.m. Two medium-sized dogs attempted to attack a man's dog on Meadows Road while they were walking on a nearby path.
2/26/08 9:47 a.m. A vehicle was broken into a week earlier and the caller received a phone call from an unknown person saying 'You've made a big mistake.'
2/26/08 10:50 a.m. A large coyote went after a dog. The dog was not bitten. The coyote had mange in its hind quarter.
2/26/08 3:56 p.m. A woman called to say that she was on the phone with her sister and heard a loud explosion.
2/26/08 3:57 p.m. A caller on Third Street said he saw people sitting on the rooftops at the Lakewood Loft Condos. Police responded and found drug paraphernalia in the area.
2/26/08 4 p.m. An unattended toddler was in a car parked at a construction site near North Shore Road.
2/26/08 4:10 p.m. An officer contacted a citizen who came to city hall to ask about the school bus stop law.
2/26/08 4:32 p.m. There was a person in a vehicle in the parking lot at Albertson's on Boones Ferry Road acting strange. The person was in a green SUV, throwing paper wads and talking to themselves.
2/26/08 5:31 p.m. A solicitor from Comcast visited a person on Palisades Terrace Drive, who had a No Solicitation sign up.
2/26/08 6:30 p.m. A possibly drunken driver was seen pulling into The Gables. The driver appeared to be blacking out and slamming on the brakes.
2/26/08 10:17 p.m. A possible prostitute was reportedly seen along the road in the area of the Goodwill store. She was wearing a white fur coat, short skirt and high heels. A driver in a dark-colored coupe stopped to talk to her.
2/27/08 1:12 a.m. A man was seen in the backyard of a house next door to the caller, yelling for help and saying he was stuck. He had wandered from his residence, and his wife said she would take care of him.
2/27/08 4:30 a.m. A text message was received by a caller, who was concerned that the person texting was suicidal because the person had taken a large amount of pills.
2/28/08 10:44 a.m. There was a continuing problem of a big black dog running at large near Kelok Road.
2/28/08 1:51 p.m. At Pioneer Cemetery, an officer was requested about a tree that had been cut down without a permit.
2/28/08 3:47 p.m. A caller found the keys to the garage and wanted an officer to check if the lawn mower was there.
2/28/08 4:10 p.m. Several paint cans had been dumped near the base of a trail near Lakeview Boulevard. An officer removed the cans.
2/28/08 4:19 p.m. There was a fight between roommates at a home on Fifth Street.
2/28/08 4:44 p.m. A bicyclist was in the area of Touchstone and Hotspur, writing on a notepad and appearing suspicious.
2/28/08 6:49 p.m. At Foothills Park, a person was seen using a laptop, making use of wi-fi. What nerve.
2/28/08 7 p.m. At Bryant Elementary School, a man was yelling and swearing at his son for walking the dog off-leash.
2/28/08 7:35 p.m. Two cars were seen racing southbound on Boones Ferry. Police contacted one of the drivers.
2/28/08 8:06 p.m. At a restaurant on State Street, a person was trying to force his way into a car while a 12-year-old was inside.
2/28/08 9:11 p.m. A person hosting a garage sale on Sixth Street asked for patrols, because he was having problems with a neighbor.
2/29/08 7:50 a.m. A suspicious person claiming to be a retired Portland police officer was seen in the area of Vercantes. The caller was concerned the person was casing houses and cars.
2/29/08 9:56 a.m. A Dodge truck with a trailer was parked on Pilkington Road and blocking a person's view from his home.
2/29/08 11:09 a.m. A woman said she had received a letter at her home in Sandy regarding excessive vehicle smoke. An officer contacted her and discovered her car had no emission problems.
2/29/08 12:22 p.m. An officer warned the driver of a limo waiting for clients in front of Zeppos that the vehicle was blocking the traffic lane leaving the garage.
2/29/08 4:09 p.m. There was a domestic dispute over a 6-year-old girl, and officers assisted in reaching a compromise.
2/29/08 4:45 p.m. An attorney called police saying his client was receiving threats of a stalking type of behavior by a former employee.
3/01/08 10:10 a.m. A gray poodle was found in a man's yard on Kenola Court. The poodle had painted red nails.
3/01/08 12:09 a.m. A man was walking in the roadway near Fourth Street. He was staggering and taken to detox.
3/02/08 2:20 p.m. A woman's red Jeep on Summit drive was egged the previous night. About an hour later, she called police to say her car had been egged again and she wanted more patrols.
3/02/08 3:02 p.m. A black and white dog was seen running at large on Cherry Crest Avenue. The dog owner was contacted and he said he would come home and secure the pooch.
3/02/08 4:39 p.m. A taxi driver reported he had a person in his car refusing to pay. The passenger said he had paid the money and it had slipped between the seats. The passenger was contacted by police and said he paid twice.
3/02/08 4:44 p.m. A black SUV on Highway 43 hit a bunch of construction cones, swerving, speeding and heading into Lake Oswego. An officer stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver on a charge of DUII.
3/02/08 5:29 p.m. A caller reported hearing a conversation between juveniles who may have been talking about drugs.
3/02/08 8:34 p.m. There was a growling heard in the backyard of a resident on Cobb Way. It was a raccoon.
3/02/08 11:04 p.m. A man was working on his car on Glenmorrie Drive and revving up the engine.
3/03/08 1:18 a.m. A caller's wife was drunk and threatening suicide. Police found there had been a verbal dispute, but no crime or threat of suicide. They were separated for the night.
3/02/08 1:38 p.m. There was an ongoing problem with a red Jetta parked on Country Club Road with a for sale sign on it.
3/02/08 2:01 p.m. Two dogs had been tied up for two hours near the restrooms at Millennium Plaza.
2/25/08 1:11 p.m. A resident at Oswegan Apartments reported that his personal information had been used over the Internet. Someone had attempted to open several credit cards in his name in the last three years.
2/25/08 1:41 p.m. A resident at Mountain Park said someone else had opened a bank account with his name.
2/29/08 11:32 a.m. A man reported that someone had used his credit card after his vehicle and wallet were stolen in Beaverton the night before.
