Oregon City High School's history-making boys basketball season had a bittersweet conclusion. The Pioneers recorded a school record 28 wins, but fell a game short of claiming their school's first state championship for boys basketball. Oregon City stars Brad Tinsley, below left, and Sammy Schafer, below right, did themselves proud at the state tournament, which concluded Saturday at the University of Oregon's McArthur Court. Both were named to the tournament's first team of all-stars. Oregon City coach Mike Doherty, right, the winningest high school basketball coach in state history, finished the 2007-08 season with a career record of 787-349.
