The West Linn Lions Club and the West Linn Riverview Lions Club will host their 51st annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at West Linn High's athletic field. Five separate egg hunts will be held, beginning at 10 a.m. to accommodate different age groups.
'We will have a hunt for 2 years and under where parental guidance will be permitted,' said Lions Club member Doug Fiala. 'This age group will need some coaxing. We just ask that parents let the children actually pick the eggs.' Kids ages 3 and 4 years old will hunt together, as will kindergarten and first-graders, second and third-graders and fourth and fifth-graders.
Egg hunters should bring a basket or bag to gather the eggs they find.
The event is free and open to the public.
'This is a way we can say thank you to the community for allowing us to raise funds from them all year long. If they didn't support us by recycling their newspapers in our collection bins or buying Lion burgers at events, we couldn't do the work we do,' said Fiala.
Collection bins will be available for contributions to the citywide food drive.
