Lake Oswego resident Jaymee Delaney was selected as the second runner-up in the Mrs. Oregon International Pageant held Saturday.
A panel of five judges evaluated eight contestants in an evening gown, aerobic wear, interview and their community-based platform.
Delaney is a physician specializing in internal medicine and has her offices at Legacy Meridian Park hospital. Her platform was prevention and education of childhood obesity, which is an epidemic in Oregon and the rest of the nation. She is on the chairman's panel of the nationally based Obesity Action Coalition and is a member of the Oregon Medical Association.
She will be joining the other contestants at the Mrs. Oregon International Day at the Portland Beavers baseball game on April 20.
Debra Gilmore was crowned Mrs. Oregon International, Christine Wooley was first runner-up and Katelyn Williams was named third runner-up.
