Man gets five years for shaking infant
Father shook daughter, causing possibly disabling injuries
A Gresham father was sentenced to five years in prison for violently shaking his 6-week-old daughter, causing potentially disabling injuries.
Brandon Tyler Dinucci, 20, pleaded guilty to attempted assault in the first degree. A Multnomah County judge sentenced him on Monday, March 17.
Dinucci was arrested in September after his daughter, Rockell, was rushed to the hospital. Police believed that the baby had been shaken about 24 hours to 48 hours before.
The baby is recovering, according to reports, but time will tell if other injuries will surface as she grows older.
Dinucci, his wife, Ashley, 21 and her parents, the Kaufers, all lived together in Gresham.
Prosecutor Lori Fellows declined to comment on the details of the case.
