On the hunt for eggs

An inflatable Easter Bunny stands guards at Foothills Park Friday evening prior to the Flashlight Egg Hunt. Almost 200 middle schoolers participated in the event, which was held after dark, said Abby DenUyl, recreation specialist for Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation. In addition to candy, the eggs held tickets for prizes like an iPod nano, a portable DVD player and gift cards. Parks and Recreation and the Youth Action Council teamed up for the event. Saturday morning, youngsters 10 and under raced for eggs at Westlake Park. More than 5,000 eggs were scattered throughout the park. This event was co-sponsored by the Westside Jaycees and parks and recreation.
