OEA teachers support Browns House 38 bid

Teachers from Portland and Lake Oswego have backed Linda Brown's effort in her campaign for House District 38 in the Oregon House of Represen-tatives.
The Oregon Education Association and affiliate organizations made up of local teachers gave Brown their sole endorsement in the race.
'I am running to ensure that our students and teachers have the resources they need by providing adequate and stable funding to our local schools,' Brown, a member and chair of the Lake Oswego School Board, said.
She said she looks forward to working with OEA and local teachers to make this goal a reality.
The Oregon Education Association's process begins when candidates meet with local representatives from Lake Oswego and Portland Public Schools. Those local teachers then make recommendations to the state organization for endorsement.
'This process and endorsement affirm my 20 years of delivering for local teachers and public schools, I am proud to have teachers fighting on my behalf as I stand firmly behind them,' said Brown.
