by: SUBMITTED PHOTO / LAKE OSWEGO POLICE, Lake Oswego police said a “good citizen” helped them catch this alleged graffiti tagger in late February. A person in Milwaukie snapped this photo, allegedly showing Mark Joel Brauer, 18, spray painting the railroad trestle connecting Milwaukie and Lake Oswego. The citizen, in addition to taking photos, called police, who arrested him on suspicion of criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

3/13/08 4:33 p.m. At the Albertson's on Boones Ferry Road, a man was requesting to have a forged prescription filled for oxycodine. Jason D. Taylor, 21, was arrested on suspicion of tampering with drug records and prescription fraud.

3/11/08 8:52 a.m. A Land Rover on Sibelius Court was broken into. The ashtray and glove box had been gone through.

3/11/08 2:59 p.m. At Lake Oswego High School, a Range Rover's sideview mirror was smashed. The damage was $500.

3/11/08 3:16 p.m. A UPS package containing a Kenwood amp and sub-combo package was stolen from the front porch of a home on Schalit Way. The loss was $169.

3/12/08 8:51 a.m. An unlocked Volkswagen Jetta was broken into and chocolate was stolen from the glove box.

3/12/08 5:51 p.m. Three Cadbury candy bars were stolen from a car.

3/13/08 4:50 p.m. There was a theft from two unlocked vehicles on Knaus Road. A wallet, T-shirt and Xbox game were taken, with a total value of $100.

3/14/08 6:54 a.m. A checkbook, gas card and insurance information were stolen from a 2007 Jeep Compass on Lower Drive.

3/14/08 6:39 a.m. On White Oaks Drive, two unlocked vehicles were broken into. A credit card, radio and iPod adapter were stolen.

3/14/08 9:44 a.m. On Lower Drive, a car was broken into and a real estate code book was stolen. The car was also rummaged through. The stolen items were recovered down the road.

3/12/08 1:09 a.m. A driver on Childs Road fell asleep at the wheel and drove off the road. There was no damage to his car.

3/12/08 7:52 a.m. A gray Volkswagen and a mailbox on Independence Avenue were hit.

3/13/08 9:22 a.m. There was a non-injury accident on Reese Road and Sunset Drive. There were no citations.

3/10/08 1:21 p.m. A resident called police claiming to be suicidal. The person was voluntarily checked in to St. Vincent's Hospital.

3/10/08 1:40 p.m. At Lake View Village, two vehicles were cited for parking in disabled spots.

3/10/08 2:54 p.m. At the Fourth Street Post Office, two men were fighting over a handicapped spot. As a result, they got into a non-injury car accident.

3/10/08 4:14 p.m. A resident on Lake Shore Road said a person was going door-to-door saying he was a salesman.

3/10/08 6:15 p.m. A doberman owner was reportedly bringing the dog onto a person's property on Boca Ratan Drive. Police followed up and found it was more than an unwanted dog problem and instructed the dog owner to stay off the person's property.

3/10/08 8:58 p.m. On Greenridge Drive, a caller said that his teenage twins were out of control.

3/10/08 11:40 p.m. There was a report of loud people and loud music at 1 Jefferson Parkway.

3/11/08 12:54 a.m. A tow truck was parked in the fire lane near Oswego Summit and a male and female got out and were walking around a parking lot checking out cars. Police checked with them and found all was OK.

3/11/08 12:58 a.m. Near the Mountain Park Rec Center, five loud people weren't reportedly standing around a car.

3/11/08 7:41 a.m. A man wearing a green jacket and backpack was seen walking through the neighborhood near Provincial Hill Drive. The caller said he did not seem to be from the area.

3/11/08 10:13 a.m. A woman at 1 Jefferson Parkway said her car was taken while she was in Alabama and she wanted to report it stolen. An officer discovered that her estranged husband had the car.

3/11/08 11:14 a.m. A resident on Park Forest Avenue said several trucks were in front of his house, making it 'look like a junkyard,' the man said.

3/11/08 11:26 a.m. A fox was spotted on the sidewalk near McVey Avenue.

3/11/08 1:04 p.m. Solicitors came to the door of a resident on Oak Knoll Court. Police checked and found they did not have a business license. They were cited for not having a business license

3/11/08 1:11 p.m. On Arrowhead Court, a homeowner's rear door had blown open. The resident checked it and closed the door.

3/11/08 3:16 p.m. A white 18-wheeler with a Maine license plate made an illegal U-turn near Lake Oswego High School.

3/11/08 4:53 p.m. At 1 Jefferson Parkway, there were complaints of revving motorcycle engines. An officer responded and the cycles moved out.

3/11/08 6:18 p.m. A dog on Country Club Road came out from his residence and was nipping at a person's heels.

3/11/08 6:37 p.m. A caller reported that there was a boat on the lake that appeared to be in danger of sinking due to water in it. Police checked with the boat owner and all was OK.

3/11/08 9:11 p.m. A resident on Phantom Bluff Court complained that there were 'unauthorized people' around his house. Police contacted the people and found that they were new to the area and their GPS system had directed them to that place.

3/11/08 11:52 p.m. On Maple Street, a resident came home to find a door open that had been closed four hours earlier. Police determined that wind probably knocked it open.

3/12/08 6:50 a.m. A possibly drunken driver on McVey Avenue was seen swerving in and out of the bike lane and almost hitting pedestrians in the bike lane. An officer caught up with the driver and determined he was not drunk, but gave him a warning.

3/12/08 8:40 a.m. A caller said another person had been harassing his girlfriend and knocking and spitting on the door, trying to pick a fight. Police determined it to be a verbal fight only.

3/12/08 11:39 a.m. A caller said he had received a phone call from someone saying he had drugged a 16-year-old female.

3/12/08 12:44 p.m. A person said he received a threatening voice mail the night before, saying 'I will send someone to visit your family really soon.' The person believed it was a former employee who was terminated.

3/12/08 1:40 p.m. Extra patrol was requested after a person received a death threat.

3/12/08 2:36 p.m. Police received an incomplete 9-1-1 call from a cell phone. They discovered it was from construction workers in the area. All was OK.

3/12/08 2:59 p.m. Juveniles were throwing eggs at cars on Fernbrook Way.

3/12/08 3:32 p.m. There were several near accidents between motorists at the intersection of McVey Avenue and State Street.

3/12/08 4:30 p.m. A woman called police to say her keys were missing. She also said her printer had begun malfunctioning and she felt these events were somehow related, so she wanted the incidents documented.

3/12/08 4:45 p.m. A man complained that there were people checking out his property. He later realized they were prospective buyers of the home. He then ran out and begged them to come back.

3/13/08 10:58 a.m. A caller said her friend and she were on the phone when her friend's phone went dead. An officer checked on the friend and all was OK.

3/13/08 12:08 p.m. A woman said she received a death threat via e-mail. Police determined it was a hoax.

3/13/08 2:38 p.m. There was a report of a disabled Buick on Country Club Road and Iron Mountain Boulevard, and an elderly woman was seen walking from the car. When police arrived she had already made it to the gas station and gotten gas.

3/13/08 8:38 p.m. A caller had received threatening text messages.

3/12/08 9:38 a.m. A caller said personal information had been stolen to open an account.

3/14/08 8:34 a.m. A caller said a former employee had opened two credit cards using the business owner's name and business name on the account.

3/10/08 7:05 p.m. At the Ridge at Mountain Park, a resident reported a fraudulent eBay purchase.

3/14/08 12:10 p.m. A woman reported that someone had used her debit card number at a Target store.
