Kathleen Van Deusen and Yixin Zhang are the winners of the 2008 Lake Oswego Farmers' Market Poster Contest in the adult and youth categories, respectively.

This is the eighth year of the popular contest, which is sponsored by the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation Department.

More than 90 entrants from Lake Oswego participated by constructing posters representing the spirit of the market in any medium. The entries receiving the greatest number of votes in the adult and youth categories were recognized for their efforts. Winning artwork will be used for Lake Oswego Farmers' Market apparel, advertisements and signage.

The 2008 Farmers' Market will again take place in Millennium Plaza Park, running May 17 through Oct. 11. Market hours are 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

All posters will remain on display at both Lake Oswego City Hall and the West End Building through May.

Hillwig reminded all youth that participated in the contest to stop by the Parks and Recreation Department located at the West End Building, 4101 Kruse Way, to pick up a certificate.
