The fun and games - and hopefully, the snow and sleet - are over.

Now, the Metro League's baseball and softball teams are ready to get down to business for real.

The 2008 Metro softball season opens Monday with three games set for 5 p.m. starts - Sunset at Southridge, Beaverton at Jesuit, and Aloha at Westview.

Those same six teams are back at it again Wednesday with 5 p.m. games including Westview at Beaverton, Jesuit at Sunset, and Southridge at Aloha.

The '08 Metro baseball season, meanwhile, kicks into high gear on Tuesday, with three games set for 4:30 p.m. - Beaverton at Jesuit, Aloha at Westview, and Sunset at Southridge.

Round two of Metro play is due at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday with games including Jesuit at Beaverton, Westview at Aloha, and Southridge at Sunset.
