Piano bar comes to Flossie and Maudes
Grand opening is set for Tuesday
Flossie and Maude's Bistro has added a new piece of equipment to its restaurant: A 6'1' Howard/Baldwin grand piano.
With that addition, the restaurant will officially become a Piano Bar. A grand opening is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 6 p.m.
Kit Taylor, professional pianist formerly playing at Nordstrom, will be the featured pianist on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8 p.m. The performances are free and will include an eclectic mix of standards and contemporary music. Occasionally featuring guest singers and other musicians will be added, but always, in true piano bar style, with an open ear to soulful bistro patrons.
The grand opening night performance will include Lakeridge High School student/trumpeter and Flossie and Maude employee Drew Tippett, jazz/funk saxophonist Dave Milne and rising vocal star Meredith Weber. Admission is free but donations will be accepted the door with proceeds going to the Lakeridge High School Music program.
Flossie and Maude's is located at 15630 S.W. Boones Ferry Road. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 503-636-4636.
