Police believe Gene L. Pisaneschi's death was 'suspicious'
Milwaukie Police said Sunday the man found dead Saturday, April 5, in North Clackamas Park was a 45-year-old Sherwood resident.
The body of Gene Lynn Pisaneschi was found at 11:35 a.m. by a person walking a dog in a wooded area near Kellogg Creek at North Clackamas Central Park, which is located south of Highway 224 just off Southeast Rusk Road.
The death appeared to be suspicious, police said.
The case is being investigated by the Milwaukie Police, the Clackamas County Major Crimes Team and the Clackamas County Medical Examiners Office.
Witnesses said they saw blood on Pisaneschi's stomach. Investigators did not believe his body had been there for more than 12 hours.
The investigation is continuing and the closure of a section of the park is expected to last into the evening.
