Next: Portland (5-8) plays host to the Philadelphia Wings (8-4) at 7:30 p.m. today at the Rose Garden. The Jax's final two regular-season games are on the road, at San Jose on April 18 and at Buffalo on April 26.

• The Wings are paying their first visit to Portland. They sport the National Lacrosse League's top goal scorer in 6-4, 215-pound Athan Iannucci, who played outdoor lacrosse at Hofstra. With 54 goals, he is approaching the single-season NLL record of 61 by Gary Gait.

Philadelphia's transition star, Geoff Snider, leads the league in loose balls (171), ahead of Portland's Brodie Merrill. Snider also is the league's premier faceoff guy.

• The Jax won both times they played the East Division Wings -15-12 in 2006 and 14-12 last season.

• The NLL West Division standings, heading into tonight: Colorado 7-5, San Jose 7-6, Portland 5-8, Edmonton 4-7, Calgary, 4-9. All but one of those teams will make the NLL playoffs.
