Tigard police arrested an 11-year-old boy believed to be behind a string of pellet gun shootings aimed at passing motorists on Hall Boulevard.
The boy was referred to the Washington County Juvenile Department and charged with multiple counts of reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief.
On Wednesday, April 2, Tigard police officers conducted a neighborhood sweep of residences between Hall Boulevard, O'Mara and Sattler streets.
Information gleaned during the sweep led officers to the home of the Tigard youth.
Police also discovered pellets that matched pellets discovered along Hall Boulevard that were used in the shootings.
There had been six shootings, starting Feb. 11 and ending as recently as March 31, where the boy is believed to have shot at motorists.
Some of the motorists reported minor paint damage. No injuries were reported.
