Luau turns campus into A Wonderful World

The Pacific University campus was transformed into Ka Honua Kamaha O - 'A Wonderful World' - last Saturday as the school's Hawaiian club celebrated its 48th luau.

Traditional Hawaiian food, music and entertainment were the center of the event, which raises money for the club's community service activities.

Founded in 1959, Pacific's club, called Na Haumana O Hawaii, is dedicated to sharing the cultural traditions of the islands with the Forest Grove community.

Steering committee members for this year's luau included Kihei Castillo, Reggie Torres and Stephanie Murayama.
