Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

4/5/08 11:33 p.m. Brent Dawson Gukeisen, 32, was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear on a charge of driving while suspended.

4/6/08 7:32 p.m. A 13-year-old was taken to the Clackamas County Juvenile Resource Center for possession of a graffiti implement and trespassing. Three accomplices ran off.

4/7/08 12:51 a.m. Joseph W. Burghardt III, 22, was cited and released for suspicion of driving while suspended, apparently on his birthday.

4/7/08 8:15 a.m. Troy Pearson, 39, was arrested for suspicion of probation violation, failing to carry and present a license and providing false information to a police officer.

Citations were also issued for driving while suspended, driving uninsured and failing to register a vehicle. Pearson was taken to Clackamas County Jail.

4/7/08 10:45 p.m. A local warrant was served on Derrek Otto Watson, 23, while he resides at the Multnomah County Jail.

4/8/08 12:36 p.m. Matthew Richard Ramey, 38, was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear on charges of DUII and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Multnomah County Jail.

4/9/08 6:38 p.m. Joseph Alan Turner, 35, was arrested for violating a restraining order and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.

4/11/08 12:15 p.m. John Garrett Castello, Jr., 41, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing after being found on the railroad tracks and was taken to Clackamas County Jail.

4/12/08 1:36 a.m. Four juveniles were cited for curfew violations. Two were sent to the Clackamas County Juvenile Resource Center.

4/5/08 9:07 p.m. A person climbed through a window at Lake Oswego Junior High School to steal a router, valued at $150.

4/6/08 4:38 a.m. Someone broke into a business on McVey Avenue to steal $12 in coins.

4/7/08 9:55 a.m. A would-be burglar on Iron Mountain Boulevard rang the doorbell twice before smashing out a window. Nothing was taken when the homeowner interrupted the crime but police were unable to track the suspect.

4/7/08 2:20 p.m. A damaged door was reported at a business on Boones Ferry Road.

4/8/08 3:30 a.m. Drugs were stolen during a burglary at a pharmacy on Monroe Parkway.

4/8/08 3:31 a.m. Electronics were stolen during a burglary at a store on Monroe Parkway.

4/11/08 9:06 a.m. A building was entered overnight on Bryant Road and items inside were rummaged through.

4/12/08 2:04 a.m. Someone tried to enter a house on West Bay Road.

4/13/08 4:23 p.m. Someone else attempted to break into a house, drilling a dead bolt. Information about the location was withheld.

4/4/08 8:21 p.m. A customer at a gas station on Boones Ferry Road left without paying for gas.

4/6/08 8:18 p.m. Two pair of underwear were taken from an open house on Spinosa.

4/7/08 11:58 a.m. A four-piece silver set went missing from Greenridge Court.

4/7/08 12:52 p.m. Jewelry was stolen from a home on Park Road.

4/7/08 1:36 p.m. Patio furniture was taken from a boat house on North Shore Road.

4/7/08 4:52 p.m. Theft was reported from a storage unit on State Street.

4/8/08 10:13 a.m. A bike was stolen from Oak Creek Elementary School.

4/9/08 2:48 p.m. A gold ring with diamonds and rubies was stolen from a home on Oak Meadow Court.

4/10/08 10:58 a.m. An iPod, shoes and pills valued at $350 were stolen from a locker on Kruse Way Place, the lock cut.

4/10/08 3:42 p.m. Narcotics were missing from an apartment, where a neighbor was suspected of sneaking in.

4/10/08 6:50 p.m. Missing medications were also reported on Lake Front Road.

4/11/08 2:44 p.m. Twenty five tulips were stolen from a yard on Delenka Lane.

4/12/08 1:57 a.m. A car was reported stolen from Shireva Drive.

4/10/08 2:37 a.m. Keith Alan Baker, 45, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Boones Ferry Road and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.

4/7/08 3:01 p.m. Injuries were unknown in a two-car crash that deployed at least one airbag on McNary Parkway.

4/4/08 7:57 a.m. Every morning a white car comes careening down McVey Avenue.

4/4/08 8:18 a.m. The potholes on Kingsgate Road are filling up with water.

4/4/08 12:51 p.m. An ill-tempered contractor threatened a client on a remodeling job.

4/4/08 2:14 p.m. An assortment of nails, food scraps and garbage was laying about on First Street.

4/4/08 3:53 p.m. A probable lunatic was wearing scrubs under clothes and claiming to have 'gotten away from the hospital' on Kerr Parkway.

4/4/08 5:31 p.m. A drunken woman on a TriMet bus didn't seem to know where she would go from Fourth Street.

4/4/08 6:03 p.m. Two men argued over a disabled parking spot on Bryant Road.

4/4/08 7:12 p.m. The drunken woman from the bus was given a destination: Hooper Detox.

4/4/08 10:57 p.m. Five cars gathered on Aspen Street, juveniles then walked toward a reservoir.

4/5/08 9:36 a.m. Michael Alan Swayze, 45, registered as a sex offender.

4/5/08 11:18 a.m. A dog was barking on Carman Drive.

4/5/08 11:32 a.m. Another dog was barking on Spruce Street. Given the distance, a conversation seemed unlikely.

4/5/08 6:15 p.m. Hours later, the dog on Carman Drive was still enthusiastically barking.

4/5/08 7:33 p.m. A man seen smoking, drinking and angrily sending text messages turned out to be a houseguest on Touchstone.

4/5/08 8:01 p.m. A person who was fired from his job on Bangy Road was yelling rather than leaving.

4/6/08 11:36 a.m. On Touchstone, an Obama campaign sign was replaced by a McCain campaign sign.

4/6/08 12:52 p.m. Four kids with a ladder tried to get a shoe off a power line.

4/6/08 6:36 p.m. Spousal abuse was reported.

4/6/08 9:04 p.m. More spousal abuse was reported.

4/7/08 5:44 a.m. A 14-year-old got the stink-eye from a stranger on Lake Grove Avenue.

4/7/08 7:27 a.m. A yelling man blocked an elevator in a building on Kerr Parkway.

4/12/08 9:38 p.m. Gunshots reported on Larch Street turned out to be fireworks.

4/12/08 11:01 p.m. A gathering throng of teens, including one dressed like a tiger, intimidated passers-by on A Avenue.

4/13/08 3:14 a.m. A man looked suspicious on the side of Berwick Road, standing next to a car with a gas can.

4/13/08 3:24 p.m. Armed teens were only packing pellet guns in the back of a truck on Iron Mountain Boulevard.

4/13/08 3:32 p.m. An elderly and screaming woman on Sixth Street was agitated about lawnmower noise.
