Donate binoculars to childrens programs at the Oregon Garden
- Lake Oswego Review - News
The Lake Grove Garden Club and Backyard Bird Shop are collecting binoculars for children's programs at the Oregon Garden.
One of the children's programs at the Oregon Garden is a field trip to introduce children to the world of birding. Children learn to identify birds by sight and sound, and binoculars help the children clearly see the birds.
People wishing to donate binoculars may drop them off at any Backyard Bird Shop, including the location in Southlake Shopping Center in Lake Oswego.
The Lake Grove Garden Club has been instrumental in fundraising for the children's programs since the Oregon Garden's inception. The club was established in 1924, and is the oldest federated garden club in Oregon.
The club's annual plant sale will be held Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Wizer's Oswego Market in downtown Lake Oswego. Proceeds from the event support club operations and its conservation, beautification and educational endeavors.
