Students receive Eagle Scout honor

Benjamin and Wyatt DeRemer of Gresham are scheduled to receive their Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, April 20, at Golda's Kitchen on Scouter's Mountain in recognition for their service in the Boy Scouts.
Benjamin and Wyatt are members of Troop 586 in the Thunderbird district and seniors at Gresham High School. Wyatt's Eagle Scout project was building shelving for Gresham High School's Band Department, and Benjamin built eight bench tables for Father Bernard Youth Center. They began as Tiger Scouts in the first grade.
In addition, Benjamin received a fourth-place medal for competing in the State Gymnastics Meet as a Level 10 gymnast, and seventh place in the Region 2 Gymnastics Meet in Beaverton on Saturday, April 12.
He will travel to Battle Creek, Mich., in May to compete in the Junior Olympics National Competition.
